I cant really say ive made a conscious effort to contribute to any particular musical style but I enjoy making music that exists somewhere on the fringes of several genres. I mostly find influence in older music like my last EP was heavily influenced from listening to old synth albums. A particular solo from YESSONGS was the catalyst for "Ark" (i think its in my EE mix) a couple of tracks by Asmus Teitchens, some Klaus Schulze- The Voyager Recordings, the Canadian Electronic Ensemble. Only talking here about the small pool that had a direct influence,my point being- basically between record hunting and experimenting with sound that’s about it.
Contrastingly though- the track I made for the EE comp was crafted from “The Very Best of Perry Como” My friend Andrew "Samoyed" made me a MAX patch that maps the song structures and sequences midi information accordingly, once i ran those through my audio banks i couldnt believe how well it had worked and after that it was just cut and paste. Magic moments…
